Due to its exceptional qualities, black pepper, a superior kind of Malabar pepper, has taken the top spot in the global market. It is further divided into ungarbled and garbled categories. While the un-garbled type varies in size and color from white to dark brown to black, the garbled variety is fully black with a single, spherical size. The market price of tainted pepper is greater. Many people “Make” garbled pepper by adding artificial colors, chemicals, and polishes, all with the intention of making a profit.
On our own plantation in Organic Harvester, India, pepper is produced organically using only cow dung as fertilizer and organic lime as a soil acidity regulator. We exclusively use bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides for the other crops on the plantation, and the Agriculture Department, which regularly inspects the area, has certified us for this use.
The pepper is harvested in December and January, after which the peppercorns are removed from the spikes. After that, the raw corn is sun-dried. Dust, dried spike remnants, and other foreign particles are filtered out and stored after it has sufficiently dried. It is packaged with the utmost care and hygiene in environmentally friendly pouches based on customer desire.
